She was discovered in San Francisco when she was 13 and subsequently moved to New York to pursue a career in modeling. She worked for Eileen Ford and appeared in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and on the runway until she was 18. At this time, she quit modeling to attend Boise State University in Idaho. Tera transferred to UCSB and returned to modeling, where she met Penthouse photographer Suze Randall. Soon after this introduction, Tera was named Penthouse Pet and Hustler Honey.

Sexual by nature, pornography was always a fantasy of Tera’s. She fooled around, appearing in a dozen films and more magazines, until signing an exclusive contract with Digital Playground. With Tera on board, Digital Playground’s Virtual Sex series topped the charts, quickly becoming the BEST SELLING DVD in the history of porn. In May of 2000, just six months after her initiation into adult entertainment, Tera walked away from the Cannes Film Festival with the award for BEST NEW STARLET.
